About Dr. Jeannie Doig

“Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart” Confucious

Dr. Jeannie Doig received her Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Toronto in 1999 and her 4-year post graduate Naturopathic Physician degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto in 2006.  After graduation, Dr. Doig moved to the West Coast to service the Port Alberni, Ucluelet, and Tofino areas. A yoga instructor, triathlete, marathon runner, and surfer, Dr. Doig enjoys the active West Coast lifestyle.

Dr. Doig focuses her family practice on clinical nutrition (dietary modifications, supplements, intravenous vitamin therapy), lifestyle counselling, acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and Bowen Therapy (www.bowtech.com). Since becoming licensed to prescribe in BC in 2010, Dr. Doig now has expanded her practice to include bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Doig treats virtually any condition by addressing the root “cause” of disease rather than simply masking and reducing symptoms.  She treats virtually any condition with a special interest in women’s health, digestive problems, and optimal weight management.

Dr. Doig is a passionate promoter of patient education and preventative medicine. She has a monthly health column in the Port Alberni AV times and the Westerly newspaper.  She also conducts seminars on weight management, nutrition, and a variety of health topics for the West Coast communities. She regularly updates her education by attending naturopathic seminars throughout North America and Europe.
